Trip to Nandanvan farm

The day started bright and early with the students enthusiastically piling into the buses. During the the long bus journey the students brought the buses to life by singing songs and playing games. When we reached the Nandanvan farm much to our surprise we were warmly greeted by a large banner with our Institute name on it and flower petals. We then settled down for a delicious kokum welcome drink. There was no better way to begin with this day!

We then where taken to a small heritage museum where we saw old goan artefacts . We proceeded to walk around the spice farm and saw a greenhouse filled with beautiful flowers. We ran into sprinklers and got wet . On the way we stopped for some sugarcane juice which the thirsty students gulped down to beat the heat. After some of us decided to go zip lining. The view while zip lining was spectacular and all the students were cheering for their friends as they traveled down the zip line.

All the students were very excited to go for a swim in the pools so immediately after all the students rushed into the pools. We had a blast splashing around in the water , taking turns going down the slides and dancing all together in the rain dance. We followed this with a highly spirited game of water polo which included students and teachers.

At around lunch time, we reluctantly got out of the pool to eat lunch. For lunch there was a feast served up consisting of chicken curry, prawn curry, vegetarian curry, rice, fried fish , fried prawns , fruits and many more treats. We all sat together and enjoyed our food and had lots of fun.

After the scrumptious meal some of us headed back into the pool where we swam around and had lots of fun. As we came out of the pool we were greeted by a cup of hot tea. We proceeded to take lots of group pictures and sit and talk to our friends.

Unfortunately after this is was time to leave so we packed our bags and said goodbye. On the way back to school the exhaustion finally started to set in but at the same time we were extremely happy as we had a great time. We played some music and some games and enjoyed ourselves on the ride back. Once we reached school, with sad smiles we said goodbye to each other and wished each other happy holidays.

The picnic was a lot of fun and we made amazing memories that we’ll remember for the rest of our lives. All of us students had an amazing time and are so thankful to Mushtifund Aryaans Higher Secondary School for giving us the opportunity to go on this amazing picnic and spend time as well as bond with all our classmates.
