Uniforms have a positive effect on student’s self esteem, attendance, discipline and test scores. They have also been proven to decrease the rate of crime and violence in schools.

Most students and even parents argue that school uniforms stifle individualism. The teenage years are a time when adolescents try out different personas, experimenting with different styles of clothing during this phase. The clothes that people wear or can afford to wear, often define the group by which they are accepted.

A rejection can often lead to several problems for the outcast teen, depression, inability to concentrate and focus on the curriculum or just a general feeling of inferiority. But school uniforms put everyone on the same level. Uniforms reduce the differences between the “ haves and have – nots” . Uniforms allow students to interact with one another without experiencing the socio economic barriers. More importantly, students are not judged on how much they spend on clothes or how stylish they look, but are weighed rather for their talents and personalities.

Keeping all this in mind Uniforms are to be worn compulsorily every day at our Institution. The requirements are as follows:

GIRLS :
Kurta – Short sleeved and knee length ( white with green stripes)
Salwar – Dark Green in colour
Dupatta – to be pinned up as shown above.

BOYS :
Shirt – Half Sleeved comfort fit (white with green stripes)
Pant – Full length (Dark green in colour)

Note: All students have to compulsorily wear their Identity Cards as part of the school uniform, daily when in the premises. Wearing school uniforms can also help boost the student’s self confidence because they know they are a part of something bigger!
