“A Teacher Who Made Physics Come Alive”

Some educators teach lessons.
Some shape careers.
And a rare few transform the way students see the world.

Mr. T. Anil Gangadharan is one such rare teacher.

I had the privilege of working with him during 2005–2006 at Aryaan Study Circle, again in 2015–2016 at MAHSS, and later for two valuable years at Aryaan Study Circle’s Gurukul, where he guided our 8th, 9th and 10th Foundation batches in Physics. Across all these associations, one thing stood out — his extraordinary ability to make Physics meaningful, relatable, and deeply engaging.

Students consistently rated him among the very best in conceptual teaching of Physics. His gift lay in connecting abstract principles of Physics to simple, everyday life examples. Under his guidance, complex theories became intuitive, formulae acquired meaning, and curiosity replaced fear. He believed that strong fundamentals were the bedrock of excellence, and he patiently ensured that every concept was understood in depth.

Despite his profound knowledge, Mr. Gangadharan has always remained remarkably humble. His calm demeanor, disciplined approach, and unwavering commitment to students’ intellectual growth define his personality. He is truly a multi-dimensional educator — a teacher, mentor, course designer, and lifelong learner.

Currently, he serves as an Instructor and Course Designer at UpEducators and is designing a specialised Drone Technology course for a leading college in Goa — a testament to his adaptability and forward-thinking approach in the evolving world of education.

His values are beautifully reflected in his children’s achievements. His son, Vineet Nair — an alumnus of Aryaan Mushtifund Higher Secondary School, Panjim — completed his engineering in Information Technology from Goa Engineering College and went on to pursue a prestigious Master in Management from ESCP Business School across Italy, France, and Germany. He interned in France at Geomines, a unique startup working on extracting nickel from soil using genetically modified plants. Currently, he serves as Associate to the Founder at Duniya, a German startup focused on developing advanced catalysts and training AI models to simplify research in metallurgy.

His daughter’s journey is equally inspiring. Today an MD in Pediatrics (Homoeopathy) and a PhD scholar, she once faced rejection for admission to Standard XI from a reputed school in Vasco because she fell marginally short in her 10th-grade results. Her perseverance and ultimate success stand as a powerful reminder that true potential cannot be measured by a single examination.

After 36 precious years of dedicated teaching at various levels, Mr. T. Anil Gangadharan is now hanging up his boots — concluding a remarkable journey that has enriched institutions and transformed countless young minds. While classrooms may miss his presence, the impact of his work will continue to resonate for generations.

As an educator myself, I can say with conviction that institutions are built not by buildings, but by teachers of character and conviction. Mr. T. Anil Gangadharan’s quiet contribution to shaping young minds will continue to echo through the achievements of countless students.

With immense respect and heartfelt gratitude, I extend my very best wishes to him, his wife, and his children for a fulfilling, joyful, and healthy new chapter ahead.
