On 19th October, 2019, the students of STD XI and XII were delighted to meet Mr. Prajyot Mainkar, the very young and dynamic CEO of Androcid Media Pvt. Ltd., a company that works primarily in the development of mobile applications. Mr. Mainkar has been a consultant for mobile start ups and is himself an android developer with more than 8 years of experience in androcid and more than a decade’s experience in the said field. He has been an advisor for various mobile app building strategies and initiatives around India. Moreover, he is the Chairman of IT Goa Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
The morning began with the atmosphere filled with curiosity and expectations. All the students of Mushtifund Aryaan Higher Secondary School were very excited about the interactive session Prajyot Mainkar. As he entered the room, his warm and vivacious smile enchanted all of us! Our Director, VPD Sir, formally announced and gave us the credentials of this amazing personality.
All the students were about to have a unique experience, Prajyot Sir, gave us a demonstration of building a bot…. if that didn’t sound cool enough, then some were to even interact with the bot!
Mr. Mainkar, engaged in a hearty discussion, with all the students over various topics involving the IT sector and most fascinatingly artificial intelligence. He said that companies like swiggy and zomato which were expected to make a huge boom in profits were actually facing losses. He revealed the mechanisms by which such companies operate and how they are expected to meet the targets, what their strategies are and so much more….
Coming to the topic of discussion, AI, he helped us gain insights into where AI is used and how it not a luxury but an integral part of our lives. The students were very thrilled to see Prajyot Sir demonstrate the building a basic bot. Some students even tried their hand at interacting with the bots. In the midst of his demonstrations and interactions, he shared a few memorable anecdotes and stories and personal experiences which intrigued us to the hearts content.
The interaction ended with the Question and answer session which was entirely coordinated by our Director, Vyankatesh Prabhudesai. Prajyot Sir, clarified our queries and curiosity with immense and ease and enthusiasm. After the session he shared with us, various tips and trickes that we students can follow to achieve our goals. He said that there is no activity which will turn out productive if we do not engage our mind and soul to it. Quoting him , “Your passions should drive your paycheck” is a given for success as it is of no use if one doesn’t feel satisfied with their work.
